Hi, I'm Juan Diego Chaparro!

I'm an actor who loves to be silly... but also sincere.

I recently graduated from St. Edward's University in Austin, TX, with a BFA in Acting.  I am a proud Angeleno adjusting to the weather in New York. Growing up in Mexican and Cuban American household, theatrics were always on display, so it came naturally to me.  I was always the loudest crier in the movie theater. All this sentimentality and sensitivity has allowed me to be a very empathetic and honest actor. For a long time, my vulnerability felt like a weakness, but being an actor has empowered me. It's so freeing to be flawed onstage, onscreen, wherever.

In my free time I read (new favorite On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong), see theatre, movies and TV shows, and giggle and cut up with my friends. ​
